Frequently Asked Questions

  • 01. How does the ULHS Property Platform work?

The University of London Housing Services Property Platform allows you to advertise your buildings to our registered students and staff from our  federation members and subscribing colleges.

The platform will also allow you to track how your adverts are performing.

To review our prices, please visit our platform or get in touch for more information.

  • 02. Pricing & Payments

Our Property Platform is a low-cost way for Private Hall  Providers to advertise buildings to students from 25 different London-based universities. You can list as many buildings as you like.

To review our prices, please visit our platform.

You can also pay extra to highlight or boost your properties. Highlighting a property gives it a prominent background, while Featuring a property moves it to the top of the page.

Costs (per property, per month) excl VAT:

    Highlighted property: £50

    Featured property: £150

Please note, we will require payment of fees via invoice.

To register on the Platform, visit househunt.london.ac.uk

  • 03. Registration Requirements

To register on the property platform, you will need to meet the following requirements:

    • Be a current member of the ANUK/Unipol accreditation scheme agreeing to the relevant ANUK National Code of Standards.

Agree to abide by our Code of Good Practice for Landlords. The Code can be accessed here.

  • 04. How are students and staff verified?

We ensure the student has a University email address, or we request a copy of the student’s ID or an offer to study letter to verify their status as a student at one of our federation members or subscribing colleges. You can find the full list of those here.

For university staff members, we collect photo ID and staff ID or a letter offering employment.

Please note, our ID checks are purely to check for student or staff status and do not include a full reference nor do they cover a landlord’s legal obligation to carry out ‘Right to Rent’ checks on tenants.

  • 05. Can non-students use the platform to find properties?

The property platform is only available to students and staff of our  federation members and subscribing colleges.
