There will be no online access to our property database for Landlords and Agents from Tuesday 1st of November 2016 until late 2016/early 2017.

We ask that all agents interested in registering with us meet certain criteria before joining, and that they maintain an acceptable level of professional conduct during their registration.
As of 1st October 2014, all companies engaging in lettings and/or property management work have been required to be a member of one of the three government approved property redress schemes. As a pre-requisite of joining, we ask that agents are registered with at least one of the following schemes: ARLA, NALS, TPO, RICS. We realise that there are some schemes which are not named here; we have investigated all of the available schemes and have made the decision to favour schemes that have adequate complaints procedures, as well as a code of practice for members. We will continue to monitor the other schemes for changes, and will reconsider adding them to our list of approved schemes periodically.
Code of Good Practice
All letting agents that register with the University of London Housing Services (ULHS) must agree to abide by the Code of Good Practice. The Code's aim is to ensure that disputes between agents and Tenants are minimised and compliance with it offers benefits for both parties. It incorporates agents' legal obligations as well as clauses which encourage good practice and management from agents.
Students prioritise ULHS registered agents because of their compliance with our code of Good Practice. They take further confidence from the fact that we will always investigate if we get a report from a student that one of our agents is in breach of the Code. Non-compliance with the code can lead to a agents's suspension from our Registration scheme.
Your registration will not go live until we have received payment, and will contact you directly to confirm registration. Your registration will last for one year, and we will contact you shortly before your annual subscription is due to expire.

Payment is accepted by credit/debit card, cheque and BACS. Should you wish to pay by BACS/cheque, we will supply you with an invoice, which can take up to two weeks to be issued for new customers. The quickest method of payment is card, although we cannot issue invoices for card payments.
