Intercollegiate Halls of Residence
The University of London has eight Intercollegiate Halls of Residence available to full time students of the University. To be eligible for a place at an Intercollegiate Hall a student must be a registered, full-time student at one of the University's Colleges or Institutes. More on this

University Managed Housing in Flats/Houses
In addition to the Halls, University of London Housing Services provides centrally managed self-catering flats and houses for around 270 full-time students. We also manage a small number of flats for visiting senior academics who are officially invited to the University to study, teach or work at one of its Colleges or Institutes on a temporary basis. However, most letting agents don't advertise all of their available properties on our database and sometimes it is worth contacting them directly to see if they have anything extra. Demand for places in University Halls of Residence exceeds supply. Many private developers have recognised and have built their own Halls to satidfy this unment demand. Many of these private Halls have been built to a high standard. However, they are more expensive than both housing rented from individual private landlords and University Halls. More on this

Short Term housing
Unless you are booking a room in a Hall of Residence, it is a very bad idea to try and arrange long term housing over the internet. There are lot of fraudsters that take advantage of students trying to do this.
The best thing to do is to arrange some temporary housing first and then look seriously once you are in London. Here are some suggested options. More on this
