Student Comments

  • Trendy place in Zone 1. Lots of bars, continental coffee houses, galeries and Restaurants. Columbia flower market on Saturday and SpitalField Market on Sunday. And of course Hoxton Square.
  • Close to Sunday Markets and Brick Lane(see also E1 entry) where there are cheap curry houses. Good atmosphere and very mixed culturally. Can still find inexpensive accomodation close to tube... up and coming area. Only six stops into city centre. Great parks in the area too.
  • SHOREDITCH :The area is one of the artcenters in London with lots of galleries. There are many young people and students ,
and lots of nice bars. Sundays you also have the markets round the corner Columbia flower, Spitalfield and Bricklane. Victoria Park is not far away.
  • The trendsters can just get too much! Some areas a bit rough after hours.
  • Negative Points: Champagne quaffing suits, beggars, rubbish
